MaryRachel Bulkeley is a multimedia producer and visual designer based out of Chapel Hill and Asheville, North Carolina.

She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in May 2018 with a double major in Journalism (Editing & Graphic Design concentration) and Latin (Classics), and a minor in Philosophy, Politics & Economics. While in college, she photographed NCAA Division I sports part-time for UNC Athletic Communications and directed/produced multimedia for a variety of other organizations.

She traveled to Israel for archaeology in 2016 and 2017, and to Puerto Rico in 2018 to cover the aftermath of Hurricane María as part of a documentary journalism project.

She has worked as a multimedia producer, consultant, copywriter and copyeditor for clients in academia, marketing and journalism.

Her work has been recognized by the Online Journalism Awards, SXSW, College Photographer of the Year and the 37th Frame photojournalism showcase.

With a photojournalistic eye and a heart for people, MaryRachel documents portraits, sports, and events. By day she works full-time for a nonprofit called the North Carolina Study Center.
